I’m an engineer who likes to create things and solve problems. The Align Mate Laser began when a friend of mine hit a pothole and broke a tie rod on her car.
After helping her replace the tie rod, I realized the car would have to be aligned. With her being impatient to get the car fixed, I had to improvise a tool to align her car. It was crude, but it worked.
Later I realized that other DIY mechanics face this same situation. They can do the repair but a proper alignment is not something they can easily do at home.
I decided to refine my solution. After a lot of changes, it turned into the Align Mate Laser, a tool that makes it easy to do a toe alignment in your own garage.
